MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering)
Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is a formalization of Systems Engineering based on the use of models, both for the analysis and design of complex systems.
MBSE must rely on:
-
A systems modeling language, such as SysML, defined by the OMG, or ArcML (AFNOR)
-
A modeling approach based on the INCOSE SE Handbook or the ARCADIA method, and adapted to the customer context,
-
A tool using all the expressive power of SysML (Cameo Systems Modeler, Enterprise Architect, etc.) or the open-source Capella.
